I’m still sifting through the reflections shared in The Food Section’s recent set of focus groups, but the first conclusion to emerge from those Zoom chats is the most meta of them all. Namely, The Food Section’s readers really like Zoom chats.

The Food Section’s motto isn’t exactly “Give the people what they want!” (For those who haven’t visited the publication’s website lately, it’s “Covering food and drink across the American South as though it mattered as much as crime and politics (because it does).”) But when the people want an enjoyable and enriching experience that costs almost nothing to produce, who am I to deny them?
