Annie Blue Pettry grew up in Asheville, before moving to San Francisco as a young adult and then to New York City to train at the International Culinary Center. She returned to Asheville and helped open The Admiral before moving to Louisville, Kentucky, in 2012 and opening Decca, a Mediterranean-inspired fine-dining restaurant.

After nearly a decade at the helm of her dream restaurant, and a celebrated appearance on season 14 of Top Chef, Pettry found herself ready for a new chapter. Burned out and drawn home to care for her father, she stepped away from the demanding pace of restaurant life and turned her attention to real estate.
