At our launch party a few weeks ago, Kathleen Purvis and I were chatting with a few guests about what they’d like to see in TFS:CLT. “Have you heard of dirty sodas?” one of them asked. I had not. She asked me if I had children. “I’ve got two,” I said. “Ages 10 and 12.” She told me to ask my kids when I got home. Apparently, I live with the target demographic.
Later, I did a quick Google search and realized I did, in fact, know what dirty sodas were. I just didn’t know I knew. I’m ashamed to admit this, dear readers, but honesty is the foundation of this relationship, right? Cool. I watched season one of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Housewives.” Those comically large soft drinks that were basically supporting cast members? Yep. Dirty sodas.
