The last laugh

Laughing Seed Cafe, a staple of Asheville’s restaurant community for more than three decades, will serve its last Harmony Bowl on May 31.

The celebrated vegetarian restaurant posted the news to Facebook and Instagram on Monday. “We hoped we could come back from Helene in a positive way,” the post reads, “but have decided it’s more than we can manage as summer approaches. Times have changed, we’ve changed, Asheville has changed, and the reality is that we need to bow out and head toward our next adventure.”
