NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (Sept. 22, 2023) – The Food Section, a feisty newsletter considered one of the preeminent sources of rigorous food journalism from and about the American South, has signed its first name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreement with a collegiate athlete on course to join the region’s press corps.
The Food Section and Juliana Rincon, a junior bowler at Jackson State University, finalized their deal earlier this month. Rincon was a natural fit for The Food Section’s program supporting future journalists across the South because she describes herself as “creative, confident, and tough.”
