What sort of food would you expect to eat in a canteen above the pro shop of a public golf course? Many of the items on the menu of The Legends Grille in Aiken read like ordinary lunchtime fare. But this café is not ordinary. Its chef, Gahee Glover, comes from Korea and brings to her kitchen skills that go far beyond ordinary lunch-counter food. Everything is a cut above.
The few dishes that are Korean or mostly so take taste buds to places where the average 19th-hole snack bar does not go. Consider the item listed on the menu as a “KFC sandwich.” Kentucky Fried Chicken, it is not. Here, KFC means Korean fried chicken.
