It occurred to me recently that even though people in my social circles are generally enthusiastic about trying out dishes from across space and time, I don’t know anyone who takes an eclectic approach to sleep. When’s the last time you heard about someone buying a Lithuanian bed or knocking off for a Zimbabwean nap?
After briefly considering that puzzler, I realized that if rest was on my mind, it might be about time for a break. Those of you who have received and read all 32 editions of this newsletter since it launched on Sept. 15 could probably use a breather too.
