Sugar rush

I won’t say anything bad about Dunkin’ Donuts or people who think they are edible. But I do want to tell you about EN Donuts, which opened March 8 in North Augusta, South Carolina.

A mom-and-pop bakery (named after the mom and pop’s kids), EN is a reminder that donuts are not necessarily junk food. They’re not health food, that’s for sure, but neither must they be dreary, corporate-created fodder, accompanied by lackluster coffee obtained through a transaction that smacks of post office-level despair.
