As reported elsewhere on The Food Section‘s website, The Starlight Motor Inn—better known to readers of The Food Section as the site of our upcoming North Charleston Garlic Crab Championship—is a new boutique hotel that lots of locals are still eager to check out. But it’s not a new building, having previously served as The Host of America and Star of America.

Similarly, the following cocktail from event bartenders Jerry and Krista Slater has a bit of a backstory.
