A backyard burn barrel isn’t quite Boston Harbor, but for Griffin Riffe’s revolutionary spirit, it will do just as well.

“I have a $400 bottle of Willett that I will happily pour into a fire,” Riffe proclaims. Like the Sons of Liberty at the Boston Tea Party, the Asheville-based chef and cannabis entrepreneur plans to destroy a valuable beverage in protest of what he sees as an oppressive, overreaching government.
