Almost every feature story about former school buses repurposed as fruit haulers for harvests from Florida to Delaware starts with a reporter failing to capture an image of the storybook vehicle rattling down a two-lane highway. Just another summertime blur, albeit one that’s critical to the domestic watermelon supply chain.
