Can’t argue with a hurricane

Greetings from Charleston! As you know, today was supposed to be the last day of ticket sales for the Pink Cactus tacos-and-tequila party. But like businesses across town, The Food Section is adjusting its schedule in deference to Hurricane Ian: The raffle will now run through Friday, October 7. Don’t worry: We’ll be back in your inbox next week with a reminder.

In the meantime, should you need something to read other than storm tracking reports, please find below a Lowcountry-themed selection from the newsletter’s archives. I once again this past weekend had the pleasure of enjoying Marvin and Jada Ross’ barbecue, and highly recommend seeking out their work.
