Happy as pigs in a penny

Dwayne Padon loves Lexington, North Carolina. At 57 years old, he’s lived there most of his life. His mother, Don Rea Padon, once owned a cosmetics studio downtown, and as he watched her recommend restaurants and hotels to out-of-town customers, he learned that when you like your town, you need to tell people about it. 

When he decided it was his turn to spread the local gospel, there was really only one possible theme. Lexington is so closely associated with barbecue that its tourism website claims, “We’re kind of a pig deal.”
