Filling and fulfilling

There was just one thing missing from this year’s Spirited Brunch, which returned last Sunday after a pandemic break (other than faraway readers of The Food Section, of course.)

Because the Spirited Brunch is a springtime event, scheduling the event is a delicate maneuver that involves dodging Mother’s Day, Passover, Greek Orthodox Easter, Ramadan, and College of Charleston graduation. Those considerations pushed Spirited Brunch 2022 a little further than usual into May, which meant it was about 86 degrees when people set out on the self-guided snack tour of downtown Charleston’s prayerful spaces.
