A Spirited Brunch scrapbook (with video!)

There was just one thing missing from this year’s Spirited Brunch, which returned last Sunday after a pandemic break (other than faraway readers of The Food Section, of course.)

Because the Spirited Brunch is a springtime event, scheduling the event is a delicate maneuver that involves dodging Mother’s Day, Passover, Greek Orthodox Easter, Ramadan, and College of Charleston graduation. Those considerations pushed Spirited Brunch 2022 a little further than usual into May, which meant it was about 86 degrees when people set out on the self-guided snack tour of downtown Charleston’s prayerful spaces.

Help us cover food and drink across the American South as though it mattered as much as crime and politics (because it does.)
