Come to the rescue

As I got within a few miles of HASRA, the no-kill, nonprofit dog rescue that’s the beneficiary of The Food Section’s current subscription drive, it occurred to me that they put the facility in the right place.

Maybe I was just focused on dogs that day, but it seemed like every other business in Lauderdale County, Alabama served a canine clientele. I drove past groomers, kennels, and pet supply shops selling costumes and personalized collars.
