The planned community of Hammonds Ferry in North Augusta, South Carolina is too upscale to have a commonplace pizzeria. However, if you find yourself in town wanting pizza, consider Hammonds Ferry Larder.
There is no pizza listed on the Larder’s menu. But there are flatbreads, which in this case are upwardly mobile pizzas. They are not machine-pressed circles. Their crust, thin in the middle, puffy around the edge, is an easy chew. A mimosa would be as suitable a companion as a draft beer, both of which the Larder serves.
